Many of us grew up with science fiction books and movies showing mind control, never actually thinking it could happen. It was alway as futuristic vison that seemed to make life a little easier. Interaxon is making that futuristic vision a possibility with their brain-sensing headband, Muse.

The headband uses sensors that read your brain’s activity, similar to how a heart monitor can provide data on your heart health. With this information, one would be able to find thought patterns and “train” his or her brain activity. They are even introducing applications that can be controlled with Muse via your brain waves.

Interaxon describes their goals further:

“We want Muse to be an everyday part of your life so we crafted it to be as attractive, comfortable, light and intuitive as possible. We develop applications that address real-life scenarios providing real-life benefits, while also developing applications that inspire, educate and entertain.”
